The Checkmaster multimeter calibration test kit enables in-house calibration of multimeters. This eliminates the need to send multimeters away to be calibrated and reduces calibration costs to one multimeter per year.
The Checkmaster test kit comprises of a specially designed ABS case containing a mains/battery powered AC/DC Checkmaster testboxes, test leads and ACT3000 digital multimeter. Input sockets are provided for both calibrated meter and meter under test.
By selecting the required voltage, resistance or current function and adjusting the test value required, the operator is quickly able to compare both readings.
Provided the accuracy of the meter under test is within ±5% of the calibrated meter, it is deemed to be accurate. Test results are then recorded on to a sample record form provided for future reference. Price includes calibration certification.
The Checkmaster enables alarm companies to perform in-house testing of multimeters to comply with BS EN ISO9000 requirements. Calibration is described as the act of checking or adjusting (by comparison with a standard) the accuracy of a measuring instrument. The BS EN ISO9000 requirement is an internationally recognized standard for an organisation’s internal Quality Management. The term 'quality' refers to all those features of a product or service which are required by the customer. An organisation's 'Quality Management' refers to an organisation's actions to ensure that its products or services satisfy its customers' quality requirements and complies with any regulations applicable to those products or services.
