It's always wise for any business outlay to be cost justified - my IBT paid for itself extremely quickly. I always test batteries in front of the customer - the simple LCD display becoming the authority to confirm replacement as necessary - so no fiddles here! We would highly recommend these testers to any company who uses sealed lead acid batteries. For the past 4 months we have been running a study on the feasibility of these testers and have established that this model of battery tester will find a battery fault before any other tester we have tried. Initally the company was put off by the published cost, but we have found that the tester actually paid for itself in less than 2 weeks. In summary these testers are a must for all alarm companies.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for a nice piece of kit. The meter is a brilliant asset when servicing and even survived a rigid accuracy test performed by my pessimistic, old fashioned, doubtful, intelligent, electronics consultant from W.J.Hunt Electronics, Robert Gaines. He tested the unit against traditional methods and it scored 100% every time.
Due to the simplicity of using the unit and understanding the results using the chart on the side of the meter, I have instructed my engineers to test all batteries in the customers presence and explain the results obtained.

Having used a discharge tester for the past 10 yrs I was somewhat sceptical about the claims made for the Intelligent Battery Tester. After all, how much better could it be, I had only been let down a few times. The vagaries of batteries, or so I thought. Only now, having used the IBT for 12 months, can I appreciate how many systems were close to, or below, a suitable standard. The IBT clearly shows exactly how much output the battery is capable of and with the simple calculation of load current I can be confident of leaving my customers with the mandatory 8hr minimum back-up.
