The award-winning GOLD-IBT Intelligent Battery Tester
* Simulates a full 20 hour battery discharge test in just six seconds
* Warns when battery voltage is too high or too low and determines when batteries need replacing or recharging
* No buttons or complicated settings
* Automatically displays ambient temperature, DC voltage and Ampere hour capacity left in a battery
* Tests 12 volt SLA and car batteries ranging from 1.2Ah to 200Ah
* Pocket-sized, accurate and easy to use
The Problem…
Battery manufacturers recommend to re-charge or replace the battery when its rated Ampere-hour (Ah) capacity falls below 65%. But how can this be established when a multimeter only measures the battery voltage?
The Solution…
The award-winning GOLD-IBT Intelligent Battery Tester from ACT Meters solves this problem by simulating a 20 hour discharge test in 6 seconds, without flattening the battery. Designed to test 12Volt SLA and Car batteries from 1.2Ah – 200Ah, the GOLD-IBT automatically displays:-
1) Ambient Temperature
2) DC Voltage
3) Ampere-hour (Ah) Capacity available in the battery
A table indicates when batteries need to be recharged or replaced.
It’s quick, accurate and easy to use and has no switches or complicated settings. The GOLD-IBT identifies batteries that need to be re-charged or replaced according to prevailing conditions – irrespective of how long they have been in use.
How it works
The Intelligent Battery Tester is not a load tester nor does it measure resistance or conductance. Instead it works by applying a pulsed frequency to the battery under test. The patented neural net software analyses the chemistry of the battery during this process and provides a direct reading in Amps/Hr. The design took many months to complete and accuracy was assured by performing a full 20 hour discharge test on 100s of batteries and comparing results.
Applications include
Security Fire Alarm Systems, Motor Vehicles, UPS Systems, Telecommunications, Emergency Lighting, Portable Tools and Instrumentation, Mobility Vehicles, Lawnmowers, Ride-On Toys, Medical Equipment, Back-up Computer Systems, Automotive Electronics, Solar Power, Robotics, Hobby Craft etc...
